The Corona pandemic shocked the world to a standstill. All over the world, people are living in anxiety about the pandemic, with fear about the economic effects of the virus, and grief about their loved ones who have already passed away during this time.
We would love to have a cup of coffee with you at Starbucks and just chat about this wonderful book – Revelation – filled with messages of hope in this increasingly dark and chaotic world. We would love to look you in the eyes and to encourage you with the visions about the quick return of Jesus. In Revelation 22:12 he promises: “And, behold, I come quickly.” We would love to touch you and assure you that God himself will dry your tears. Revelation 21:4 – “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” We would love to encourage you to persevere in your faith amidst the circumstances in our country where there is seemingly no way out. We would also love to give you God’s assurance that your perseverance will be rewarded. Revelation 3:5 – “He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels. ” We would like to take your hand and pray with you to receive blessings and peace from God amidst the storms in your life. Revelation 1:4 – “John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne.” This book is written in a casual style without chapters, a table of contents, and references. It is filled with discussions that, despite being written on paper, we would like you to partake in. These discussions will take us to strange and unknown territories with spectacular images, like the dragon, the woman on the moon, frogs, seven Spirits before God’s throne, 144,000 people, the Lion and the Lamb, different colours of horses, trumpets, a woman on a shining red animal, Armageddon, a bottomless subterranean abyss, Babylon, the new Jerusalem, and many more. However, the discussions will always return to the main character in this cosmic narrative – Jesus Christ.
